Jag Offs - Kitty Kat

from Hot Curly Weenie Vol.2 by Recess Records

about

Unlike Dischord, the first few years of Recess had no local bands. The simple answer to this would be that I thought there were better bands in other states. Around here it was either totally Epitaph or totally overly macho hardcore. I couldnt stomach the generic-ness of it. And I LOVED Bad Religion and hardcore! Dudes that gave me shit when I was younger for wearing a punk shirt were now all of the sudden in a horrible punk band. On tour I'd notice that the best bands that weren't already on labels, at the time, didn't live anywhere near Southern California. In the early '90s, our local buddy band was Rig,but they were covered. So when about 10 years later our buddies started the Jag Offs it was a no brainer.-Todd C.
