Joe and Aaron from the Kankersores used to pester Recess to put out their stuff. At the time they were a ska-punk band. My overwhelming love for Operation Ivy still didn't justify me putting out a ska-punk band. Then one day they came to the warehouse (yea! we had a warehouse at one point!!) with a bunch 7"s with the Recess logo on it. ha! Well I was glad cos it was pretty damn good! They moved onto The Icarus Line (which Joe is still in to this day). Aaron played guitar for Nine Inch Nails for a hot minute. Trent Reznor just walked into the Recess office with a new NIN 7" with the Recess logo on it. Stoked!-Todd C.
